Stormstar padded out of his den, hopping up onto the ledge above it and peering down around the clearing. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the High Cleft for a Clan meeting!" he yowled, keeping watch out of the corner of his eye on the nursery. After all, Mistickit and Starkit were going to have thier apprentice cerminoy soon, so they were bound to be excited and jumping out of their fur.

Ravenfrost padded out of the warriors' den at Stormstar's yowl. I wonder what's going on? He thought as he padded over to the High Cleft and sat down. He wasn't really interested of the meeting to come, for he could tell by the look on Stormstar's face that it wasn't anything bad.
Spottedflower was doing some last minute grooming on Starkit inside the nursery. Today was the day that her kits would become apprentices. Pride begen to swell up in her as she looked at her two kits. "Alright my kits. It's time." Was all she said before she padded outside and into the clearing.
Mistickit nearly ran outside of the nursery, the silver flecks on her black fur shine brightly in the sunlight. I'm finally going to become an apprentice! She nearly shouted out, but decided to keep her mouth shut for the time being. She padded quickly over to the Cliff Rock and sat down, her entire body shaking like crazy.
Starkit followed more slowly after her mother and sister, but she was very excited and nervious. She sat down next to her sister, silver pelt also shining in the sunlight, making the star-shape pattern on her forehead look like it's glowing. She looked at the gathering warriors, wondering who will be her mentor.

Jayfeather padded back into camp, his mouth full with a rather large limp rabbit. He set it down with the fresh-kill pile and padded over to sit with th gathering cats. He had to hold in a laugh at how excited Mistickit was, watching her shaking as she sat. 'Then again, all kits are excited and nervous at their apprentice ceremony.' he reminded himself.
Twilightstorm padded out of the warriors' den, his gray fur contrasting greatly with the few golden patches he had. He went and sat over by the other warriors, curling his tail over his paws and waiting anxiously with his whiskers twitching every now and then. His golden eyes wavered between Stormstar and the two kits, wondering if any of them would become his apprentice, though he doubted either of them would.
Stormstar looked down at the kits, his eyes glowing warmly. One of his favorite times was when kits were old enough to become apprentices. He scanned the clearing, seeing most of the warriors there. But what about Strongheart, Indigowave, and Duskpaw?

Strongheart walked in through the camp entrance, limping slightly. When he heard Stormstar's yowl for the meeting, the deputy decided to wait until afterwards to see the medicine cat. Spotting a patch of grass near the base of the ledge, he lightly limped over and sat himself down to give his forepaw a brisk lick before looking up at his leader.

Indigowave lifted his head at the yowl from Stormstar. Rising stiffly and taking a few moments to stretch, the dark tom shook moss from his pelt and walked out to the clearing. At seeing the kits eagerly racing towards High Cleft, he knew it must be their apprentice ceremony. He sat himself down on an open spot, far from Ravenfrost, remembering their fued out in the forest(or where ever he was?).

Duskpaw padded out of the Apprentices' Den. He noticed that a meeting has been called, and sees Mistickit and Starkit at the bottom of High Cleft. "Today must be the day they become apprentices." he whispered, "Finally, I won't be the only one in the apprentices' den!" He quickly padded to the edge of the gathered cats and sat down.
Mistickit felt like she was about to jump out of her fur. She was growing more and more impatient each second. Everyone is here now. Let's get on with making me into an apprentice! She wanted to shout out to the Leader.
Starkit could sense her sister's impatience. She looked over at Mistickit and noticed her giving impatient stares at Stormstar. Please Meteorclan, don't let her do something stupid. She was, too, getting tired of waiting, and hope that the ceremony would begin soon.
Spottedflower watched her kits from were she sat. She started giggling at Mistickit's and Starkit's impatience. Don't worry, my kits, you'll be apprentices soon. Suddenly, a wave of protection for her kits came over her. She felt the urge of running to her kits and wraping her tail around them, never wanting to let go of them. But she knew she couldn't, no matter how much she wants to.

Stormstar gave a quiet mrrw of laughter at the kits' impatience, but flicked his tail in dismissal. "As you all know or have probably guessed, Mistickit and Starkit are old enough to become apprentices, which the Clan greatly needs." he meowed, looking hopefully at the two cats he'd chosen to mentor the kits. 'They're going to be in for a surprise.' he thought, reguarding the fact that he hadn't told either of them.
"Mistickit, would you please step forward?" Stormstar asked, looking down at the black kit and then glancing at Spottedflower. He knew that the queen was very protective of her kits, so watching them grow up as apprentices was going to be hard for her. A pang of sympathy flashed in his eyes before the flooded back to their normal stoic appearance.

Mistickit got up from where she sat and quickly padded over to the Leader. She glanced over at her sister, then her mother, and then Jayfeather. She hoped greatly that the black warrior with light gray paws would become her mentor.
Spottedflower watched Mistickit padding to Stormstar. The wave of protection for her kits was slowly disappearing, being replace by pride once more. Then, she noticed Mistickit glancing at Jayfeather. She trusted the tom more now, but not that much. She begin to pray to Meteorclan that whoever becomes mentors to her kits, that they won't hurt them.
Ravenfrost watched the ceremony with very little interest. He doubted that he'll get an apprentice, espiecally after what happened out on the moor with Indigowave. He knew that Stormstar witnessd the fight between him and that sneaky little cat! He glanced at Indigowave and let out a small hiss.

Stormstar nodded and took a deep breath before starting the ceremony. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of StormClan, but must first become an apprentice. Mistickit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Misticpaw." He paused, looking down expectedly at the new apprentice. Her reaction to who she got as a mentor was going to be priceless. "Jayfeather, it's time you had your first apprentice. May you pass down your skill and cunning to your new apprentice."
Jayfeather blinked before getting to his paws and padding forward. Still half confused as to why Stormstar hadn't told him before hand, he stopped in front of Mistickit and bent to touch noses with her. 'Well, she's going to be really excited. She just got the mentor she wanted.'
Stormstar wasted no time in continuing the ceremony, looking down at the pale silver kit who was sitting at the base of the High Cleft. "Starkit, would you please step forward?" he asked kindly. He already knew that neither mentor nor apprentice were going to have any idea that they would be trained/training this cat.

Mistickit/paw couldn't help but let out a squeal of joy. She hurried over to Jayfeather, which looked more like she was skipping, and toch noses with him. She then glanced over at her sister once more and gave Starkit a look that said, I told you Jayfeather was going to be my mentor. I just knew it!
Starkit only stuck out her tounge at Mistickit's glancing boast. Padding over to Stormstar, she couldn't help but looked at the gathered cats again. Now that Jayfeather has been given an apprentice, that means only Twilightstorm, Ravenfrost, and Indigowave are left. I wonder who'll be my mentor? She stood, eagerly, next to Stormstar, waiting to know who'll be her mentor.

Trying to ignore the sudden urge to tackle Ravenfrost, Indigowave held fast, sinking his claws angrily in to the soil of the clearing. The hiss had made him mad but he wasn't going to confront Ravenfrost infront of the whole clan. Maybe someday. When he is alone in the forest I can ask him what in StarClan's name he has against me and maybe knock some sense in to his treacherous cat.

Stormstar shot a warning glance to both Indigowave and Ravenfrost, seeing as how he could pretty much feel the tension between them from a good 6 fox-lengths away. Turning his stormy blue eyes back to Starkit, he shook his head to clear his thoughts before starting. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of StormClan, but must first become an apprentice. Starkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Starpaw. Strongheart, my hope is that you pass down your wisdom and strength to your new apprentice."

Starkit padded to her new mentor and looked up at him. Perparing to touch noses with him. She did a side glance at her sister and gave her a look that said, Yea, well I ave the Deputy as my mentor.

Strongheart's head jerked up slightly in surprise, but slid easily onto his paws and over to Starkit to cover the expression. I probably should have expected Stormstar to make this one big surprise cerimony, he thought to himself as he touched noses with his new apprentice. He failed to miss the previous exchange between Ravenfrost and Indigowave, however, and planned to keep an eye on the two later...
Oh, wait. I've got an apprentice now. Well, he'd certainly have his paws full for the next few moons.

Jayfeather looked around for his new apprentice, only to find her already missing. He rolled his eyes before getting to his paws and padding over to the camp entrance. "Leave it to Stormstar to give me the adventurous apprentice... she doesn't need to know anything more about cunning or stealth!" he mumbled to himself, shaking his head as he kept looking for the black apprentice.

Seeing Stormstar's glance at the inward fued between the two toms, Indigowave took a couple of deep breaths so he didn't overheat and suddenly attack one of his Clanmates. Especially during a ceremony. Trying to forget the whole thing, until later, Indigowave chanted the names of the two apprentices (didn't see anyone else doing it so, I decided to!)
then quickly trotted off to the fresh-kill pile, choosing a simple thrush buried underneath. Tearing into it, Indigowave finished it one a couple of swift bites.
I hope I get to confront that little mouse-brained carion-bag Ravenfrost soon! He wasn't even hunting and he blames me for scaring off a mouse! Well good thing Strongheart was there to break it up or it could have gotten nasty! That warrior is going to turn out real well. Maybe even leader someday!
Then, turning around, Indigowave trotted out of camp, half wishing that Ravenfrost would follow.

Ravenfrost chanted, unehusiasticly, the apprentices' new names. He then headed to the warrior's den. But before he entered, he watch, more glare, at Indigowave as he ate. Then watch the black cat leaving. Only then was when he entered the den. He better not even try to sneak up on me and wake me up while I'm alseep! He thought angerly as he curled up in his nest and close his eyes.
Starpaw' eyes gleamed when the Clan chanted her name. She turned her head to say something to Misticpaw, only to find her not there. Where has gone to now? She wasn't surprise that her sister had left. But she was worried about where she could have went.
Spottedflower padded over to Starpaw and started covering her daugter with licks. "Congratgulations, Starpaw!" She then noticed the worry look on Starpaw's face. Looking around, she realized that Misitcpaw had disappeared. "I'll go and find her. I'm sure she hasn't gone far." she reassured Starpaw. But panick started rising in her as she turned away and started looking for her missing, yet again, daugter.
By now Misticpaw was already padding through the moor. "Now all the Clan has to worry about is if I cross one of the borders." She smiled as she sprinted down a slope. She couldn't waited to explore the territory. So she left the second Stormstar started to end the ceremony. She knew she was worrying her mother and sister and probably half of the Clan. But she's an apprentice now! She can do whatever she wants.
